Profile and settings

Your profile holds your details, balance, purchase history and account settings. It also shows your public page — the way other users see it.

⚙️ Where the settings are

Open your profile and click Settings. The settings window has four tabs:

👤 My Account

• Avatar — upload a picture or generate one.
• Username — your unique address on the site. Other users see it in your profile and under your characters and prompts. 3 to 20 characters: Latin letters, digits and hyphens.
• Email — click Verify and you’ll get an email with a link. You can request another email after 60 seconds. Once your email is verified, it says “Email verified” next to it.
• Date of birth — needed to turn on NSFW content. The site is for users aged 18 and over. Until the date is filled in, the field shows “It’s necessary to fill out”.
• Description and social links — shown in your public profile.
• Newsletter — you can agree to receive emails about new characters and changes on the site.

Don’t forget to click Save.

🌗 Theme and language

• Language — Russian, English, German, Portuguese or Ukrainian. You can change it on the Preferences tab or with the language button at the bottom of the left menu.
• Theme — for now the site only works in the dark theme. The “System” and “Light” buttons on the Preferences tab are inactive for now.

The persona that new chats start with isn’t chosen here but in My Personas — see Personas.

🔞 How to turn on NSFW content

By default, characters and images with explicit content are hidden. To see them:

1. On the My Account tab, enter your date of birth (you must be 18 or older) and verify your email.

2. On the Preferences tab, turn on “Display chatbots with explicit images or languages (NSFW)”. If the first step isn’t done, the text under the switch says what’s missing: your age or a verified email.

3. After that you can control NSFW content with the NSFW switch in the catalog. Generating explicit images in chats is turned on separately, in the image settings.

The position of the NSFW switch in the catalog is remembered in your browser. On another device or in another browser you need to turn it on again.

In the Android app

The Android app has no NSFW switches, so its catalog only shows characters without explicit content. To see them, open caichat.ai in a browser — this works on a phone too.

I can’t change my username

The name may already be taken by another user — try a different one. Also check the format: 3 to 20 characters, only Latin letters, digits and hyphens.

The email verification message doesn’t arrive

Check your spam folder and make sure the address is correct. You can resend the email after 60 seconds. If it still doesn’t arrive, write to support.

The NSFW switch won’t turn on

It requires a date of birth (18+) on the My Account tab and a verified email. If both are done, refresh the page and try again.

Can I turn on the light theme?

Not yet. The site only works in the dark theme, so the “System” and “Light” buttons in the settings are inactive.

How do I delete my account?

There is no such button in the settings yet. Write to [email protected] from the email linked to your account, and support will help.
